If you are a student looking for a housemate, Penrhyn Rd Campus is holding a ‘Speed Flat Mating’ event on Wednesday 27thFebruary from 6-9pm.
Being held in JG4002, Halls Connectors will be present to welcome all first-year students, giving them the opportunity to find other people who they would like to potentially live with next year.

Free Pizza
All students were informed of the event via email on the 14thFebruary. The email states that if you are a student in need of a place to live next year or in need of a housemate – to come along to the event and even grab yourself a free slice of pizza!
Hunting Enquiries
Adding a funky twist to the usual ‘Speed Dating’ – students will take timed turns to meet and socialise with many other students who they may not have had the opportunity to meet before in the past. Attendees can also seek advice on general house hunting enquiries and also on where to live.
Second year student, Dominic McNeillis attended the Speed Flat Mating event last year and left feeling pleased as he found two new people to live with. He said “I came to the Speed Flat Mating event as my university course is rather intense which left me with little time to socialise or get to know many people. I found myself with no direction on where to live or who to live with next year but luckily I attended the event because through this I met two people who I get along with really well, and who I now live with.”
To register for a place at the event; please email kuextra.kingston.ac.uk with KU number attached.
